I am a self taught landscape photographer residing in Winslow, Maine. Though many of my images are from Maine's well known natural areas, I am particularly attracted to lesser known areas of the state. My interests range from coastal images to trees, woodland streams, quiet ponds and rocks
In general my compositions are simple. My strongest color images often contain only a few different colors.
I am interested in isolating a piece of the Maine landscape in a way that brings out its particular beauty.
I display and sell my images at art shows across the state of Maine (see Show Schedule 2010) and occasionally at local businesses. Images are also available through this web site.
Currently, I use primarily digital cameras though some of the images shown here were taken with 35mm or medium format film cameras.
I have been a resident of Maine for most of the last 42 years but have also resided in New York, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Connecticut, Florida and Oregon. I retired several years ago after teaching at the college level and practicing pharmacy in Maine. I have two grown daughters and currently reside in Winslow, Maine with my wife Ardeene.
